Pour schedule · seven kinds of work

The pour schedule: every kind of concrete work Perkins runs.

Driveways, patios, pool decks, slabs, pavers, block walls and pool deck remodels, all from the same family-owned crew that has worked Tampa Bay since 1989. Three big pours first, then the rest of the schedule.

Pathways and Driveways

Concrete is the most durable surface for a Florida driveway. It handles vehicle weight, resists moisture, and holds up in heat without softening the way asphalt can.

Plain, colored, exposed aggregate, textured and broom finishes, with decorative borders or score lines. Pathways are poured here too, and a walkway that pools water gets fixed at the grade.

Pool Decks

A pool deck is wet constantly, baked by the sun, and expected to be safe on bare feet. Dark, smooth concrete in direct Florida sun gets too hot to walk on barefoot by midday, so color and texture get decided with the heat in mind.

Knockdown, broom and stamped textures, concrete and paver surrounds, for homes, builders, HOAs and apartment complexes.

Pour 03 · Structural

Concrete Services

Garage, shed, addition and equipment slabs, sized and spec'd for the intended load, with proper sub-base preparation and drainage grading.

Entry steps, retaining walls, flatwork and concrete repair, with every phase on one crew: site evaluation, forming, pouring, finishing and curing.

One argument under every line item

Every job on this schedule starts underground.

Most concrete failures in Florida trace back to two things: inadequate sub-base preparation, and drainage that wasn’t designed into the project from the start. So a driveway, a pool deck and a block wall all begin the same way, with a site evaluation, regardless of size.

The finish, the color and the pattern come after the structural decisions, never before them.

  1. SoilStability is assessed before any material goes down. Soil conditions in the Tampa Bay area shift with moisture.
  2. DrainageExisting patterns are read first, then drainage is designed into the job, not patched on after.
  3. GradeA surface that isn't graded properly sends water toward your foundation instead of away from it.

Picking the right pour

Not sure which service you need?

These are the questions that decide it. The site evaluation settles the rest, and you get a straight answer before anyone recommends a scope.

Surface wear and minor cracking can often be addressed without full replacement. Settling, structural cracking, or drainage failures usually indicate a sub-base problem that a surface repair won't solve. We assess the cause during the site evaluation and give you a straight answer before recommending a scope.

Concrete is typically lower in upfront cost and requires less ongoing maintenance. Pavers cost more initially but allow for targeted repairs, can improve drainage in certain configurations, and offer more design options.

Concrete is poured as a single surface and cures in place. It's typically lower in upfront cost and requires less ongoing maintenance. Pavers are individual units that can be replaced if one cracks or stains, and offer more design flexibility. Both perform well in Florida when installed correctly. We can walk you through the trade-offs for your specific property during the consultation.

Stamping requires wet concrete and can't be applied to an existing cured surface. Color stains and coatings can be applied to existing concrete in good condition.
